With our summer bucket list, we\u2019re creating an unforgettable season. Let\u2019s go!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m sitting here at our dining table, and although it\u2019s already June, it\u2019s raining outside \u2014 and suddenly, I feel this strong craving for \u201csummer.\u201d There are so many things I want to do in my head \u2014 some with my family, some just for myself. Sounds like the perfect time to make a new list! A list of what I want to experience this summer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s become a little tradition in our house that the Minis make their own summer bucket list just before the school holidays begin. From \u201ceat a delicious ice cream\u201d to \u201cvisit Abuela in Spain,\u201d anything can be added to this wish list! The Minis write down their ideas, and then we try to make as many of them happen as we can. The goal isn\u2019t to check off every single item \u2014 it's okay if some wishes and ideas stay open!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/backenmitminis.de\/en\/2024\/10\/01\/to-want-liste\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Last year, I made my first \u201cto-want list\u201d for the 4th quarter of my blog,<\/a> and it was amazing to see how it helped me keep my goals in sight and accomplish most of them. Back then, the list was mainly focused on my blog and baking topics. This year, my summer bucket list is all about having an unforgettable summer. Sure, there will be some baking adventures, but that\u2019s not the focus! This is more about experiences and activities I want to enjoy this summer \u2014 not goals I want to achieve. Yay!)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2705Spend a day at the lake (a beautiful day at Langener See with delicious \u201cFreibadfries\u201d \u2013 it was great!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Go on a long bike ride (we went on a few longer bike rides with the minis \u2013 including to Langener See)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Watch a movie at a drive-in or open-air cinema (that's still on the list for next summer!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Instead of dinner, a picnic on the Main<em> <\/em>(Fully loaded with snacks, we had dinner on the Main River \u2013 it was lovely!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705A water fight with the minis (One? ;)) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An overnight stay with the minis in the garden under the open sky (somehow it didn't happen... next year!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Create a summer cocktail (the minis' new hobby \"Mom, do you also have a 'summer drink'?\")<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize a cocktail evening with friends (we've had a few barbecues, but the cocktail evening is still to come... maybe for my birthday?)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Visit an amusement park (We went to Taunuswunderland and it was great!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stand-up paddleboarding (I'm so keen to do this and I don't know why I didn't get around to it this year...?! Definitely on my list for next summer!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Book a summer holiday in another country<em> <\/em>(Spain \u2013 not really surprising, but another country!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend an open-air concert (Nope\u2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Stroll through a street festival (We went to the Old Town Festival and it was very nice again!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Barbecue with friends<em> <\/em>(often and delicious\u2026yummy!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend the salsa evening at the Alte Oper square (unfortunately not\u2026!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Go dancing barefoot at the beach club (I went dancing at the Ocean Club \u2013 not barefoot, but with a lot of fun!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Try a new flavor of ice cream (Yes, grapefruit pepper, it was delicious!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Make your own ice cream with the minis<em> <\/em>(Yes, yes, yes, of cause!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Try a new no-bake cake (No, we didn't do that, but we created new ice cream pops instead!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Make your own MEGA ice cream sundae (Yes, for a very special occasion!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Watch lots of sunsets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Make a header from the 3-meter board <em>(always exciting!)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Discover a new place <em>(The beach of Alcudia in Mallorca \u2013 a wonderful place!)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Eat delicious fries at the outdoor pool <em>(Very delicious, although the minis didn't share very generously with me...)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Go pick fresh strawberries <em>(But of course, I can't imagine summer without it!)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Explore a new city <em>(Alcudia on Mallorca \u2013 wonderful!)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Send out a message in a bottle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705Climb beyond myself in the climbing park (<em>Yes, that was great and the little ones are already climbing so high \u2013 so brave!)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a summer journal of our experiences (The idea kept coming up, and in the end, we wrote a diary every now and then!
