We find the icing more refreshing this way, especially in summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Baking accessories<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kitchen scales, measuring cup, mixing bowl, hand mixer, dough scraper, baking sheet or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.de\/shop\/backen_mit_minis\/list\/1SAREG9FY1LMU\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.de\/shop\/backen_mit_minis\/list\/1SAREG9FY1LMU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">rectangular springform pan*<\/a>, fork, tablespoon, kitchen knife, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.de\/shop\/backen_mit_minis\/list\/1P1ATUW9IUOI3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">cooling rack*<\/a>, small bowl, pastry brush, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Zubereitung\"><\/span>Preparation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you can decorate your summer beach cake, bake a fluffy Fanta cake as a base for the easy-to-make themed cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fantakuchen_als_Basis_fur_unseren_ultimativen_Sommerkuchen\"><\/span>Fanta cake as the basis for our ultimate summer cake<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First, grease the baking tray or rectangular springform pan and preheat the oven to 175\u00b0C top\/bottom heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar) are put into the mixing bowl and mixed with a tablespoon. Then the remaining ingredients for the all-in-one dough are added and mixed with the hand mixer until a smooth dough is formed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then the dough is poured onto the greased baking tray or into the greased springform pan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To create the \"wave look\", spread 7-10 drops of the liquid blue food coloring on the surface of the dough (see instructions in pictures). The blue wave structure is created by drawing loops over the surface of the dough with a fork.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Fanta cake is now baked at 175\u00b0C top\/bottom heat for about 20 minutes. As always, use the toothpick test to make sure that the cake is baked through on the inside. (Here you can find out <a href=\"https:\/\/backenmitminis.de\/en\/2023\/02\/24\/mein-backtipps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">how to perform a swab test<\/a>.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the Fanta cake is baked through, allow it to cool on a cooling rack or on the baking sheet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"So_dekorierst_du_einen_karibische_Strandkuchen\"><\/span>How to decorate a Caribbean beach cake<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The first step is to divide the beach for the beach cake. To do this, cut the cake horizontally about 1 cm below the surface and separate the upper part of the cake corner (see instructions in pictures). Crumble the cut cake into cake crumbs and then put them back on the cake corner as \"sand\". <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Next, mix the icing for the sea with powdered sugar, orange soda (or lemon juice if you prefer) and a drop of liquid blue food coloring. Your little ones can easily brush the icing over the sea of \u200b\u200bthe beach cake using a pastry brush.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As long as the icing hasn't dried yet, you can decorate the beach cake as you like. We chose gummy bears as beach visitors.
