*The posting contains advertising.

Healthy no-bake Snickers bites are the perfect snack for children and the whole family: quick to make, without refined sugar, without an oven, and full of natural sweetness. In this recipe, I’ll show you how you can easily prepare these delicious Snickers bites together with your little ones.

Why healthy sweets for children make sense

The new year has begun, and I’m really in the mood to try something new – the perfect time to test new, healthy recipes for children. Since we love baking and snacking, I’m always looking – like many parents, probably – for sugar-free alternatives that are still sweet, delicious, and suitable for everyday life. And most importantly: that the kids actually enjoy!

These Snickers bites without refined sugar are exactly that. The natural sweetness of dates, creamy peanut butter, crunchy peanuts, and a hint of dark chocolate come together to create a healthy treat that’s equally loved by our whole family. And best of all: these Snickers bites require no baking at all!

Ingredients

for approx. 6–8 pieces (muffin cups), approx. 14–16 pieces (half-sphere silicone mold)

For the base

  • 6 Medjool dates / 12 small dates
  • 30 g oats
  • 20 g peanut butter
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the filling

  • 30 g peanut butter
  • 10 g maple syrup
  • 20 g peanuts

Topping

  • 70 g dark chocolate (We used chocolate with 90% cocoa content. If you prefer it sweeter, you can reduce the cocoa percentage – this will naturally increase the sugar content of the Snickers bites.)

Baking accessories

Kitchen scale, food processor (or immersion blender), spoon or spatula, small bowl, silicone muffin tin or silicone half-sphere mold*, saucepan and heatproof bowl for a water bath.

Preparation

  • Blend all ingredients for the base in a bowl until smooth.
  • Place one tablespoon of the mixture into each muffin cavity and press it down firmly with a spoon.
  • Mix the peanut butter and maple syrup for the filling in a small bowl and spread it evenly over the bases.
  • Distribute the peanuts evenly on top.
  • Melt the chocolate over a water bath and pour it over the Snickers bites as a topping.
  • To help the Snickers bites set quickly, place them in the freezer for 10–15 minutes. (If you don’t have a freezer, you can also let them firm up in the refrigerator.)

And that’s it – the delicious Snickers bites are ready! Super tasty!

Making Snickers bites with kids

This recipe is perfect for making together with kids. Even the youngest children can help with these tasks:

  • weighing the dates
  • pressing the mixture into the molds
  • sprinkling the peanuts on top
  • decorating with chocolate

This way, you playfully encourage motor skills, independence, and a love for healthy food.
