Your child wants a fairytale party for their birthday? We'll show you the fairytale party snacks for my kid's fairytale party in today's blog post!
My kid wanted a fairytale party for her 7th birthday. Even though from a mother's point of view I find fairy tales very antiquated and quite brutal today, for me it is justifiable to adapt the party and cake decorations to fairy tale characters.
We freely interpreted various fairy tales with the help of cakes. Can you guess all the fairy tales based on the pictures? 😉
Golden frog prince cake pops
With our golden frog prince cake pops we interpreted the fairy tale “The Frog Prince”. The delicious cake pops have been refined with edible gold spray and decorated with a small wine gum frog.
Funfact: A little guest at the fairytale party had the objection that this wasn't a Frog PRINCE because the crown was missing! I'll have to think of something for next time. Maybe we'll make little crowns out of fondant so that the wine gum frog becomes a real FROG PRINCE! 😉
Mini muffins from the fairy forest
For me, mini muffins are the ideal muffins for a child's birthday party. They are small and can be eaten in 1-2 bites and are wonderful to decorate. For the fairytale party we have our mini muffins from the fairy forest decorated with delicious foam mushrooms and sugar sprinkles!
Rapunzel's donut tower
The highlight of our birthday cake! The Rapunzel Donut Tower! Because the Rapunzel donut tower crowned the birthday cake on the birthday! My mini was delighted! Not only because the tower looked wonderful on the cake, but also because she loves eating donuts!
The Rapunzel donut tower, which embellished the birthday cake as a cake topper on the birthday, was simply served without a cake at the children's birthday party. My experience has been that the minis think cakes are great and enjoy looking at them, but when they try them there is usually a lot left over because they prefer to try a lot of small things.
But it's actually quite simple to make. I made the tower floor out of foiled cardboard. The foiled cardboard is important so that the moisture from the donuts doesn't soften the cardboard house. I then braided a strand of wool and let it hang out of the window as Rapunzel's braid.
To ensure that the donuts stood firmly on top of each other, they were secured with 3 kebab skewers. You can either fix the house using the shish kebab skewers or attach it to the top donut with some liquid chocolate or icing.
Fairy floral waffle cups
The fairy flower waffle cups also go wonderfully with a fairytale party. For me they recreate the rose hedge from Sleeping Beauty. You can use red decorative flowers as desired, for example.
Snow White's apple muffins
For which fairy tale stand the juicy apple muffins ,is probably obvious right away, isn't it? Of course for the poisoned apple from the fairy tale Snow White. The difference is that these apple muffins taste really delicious and juicy and are not dangerous at all. The cheeky worm is particularly popular with the minis! 😉
Dwarf Waffle Cups
With the Dwarf Waffle Cups we stick with the fairy tale “Snow White”. My kids and I baked these muffins in a waffle cup as “elves” during the Christmas season. At the same time, we were able to agree that they can definitely pass as a “dwarf”! Therefore absolutely suitable for the fairytale party. You could also dye the hats different colors and draw little faces on the waffle cups using edible food sticks or liquid chocolate.
Absolutely magical wands
Whether as a party snack or as a cake decoration, THESE magical wands will put a big smile on the little ones' faces!
And best of all, they are not only easy, but also quick to make. For the magical wands, you skewer delicious sweets (wine gums and sour snakes are ideal, but also chewy sweets or UFOs - here you will find some delicious ideas for “skewering”) on shish kebab skewers! And tatataaaa… the magic wands are ready!
