Mini Gummy Bear Bags Turn Big
The elf leaves behind tiny gummy bear bags and some magic dust. Sprinkle it before bed — by morning, they’ve “grown” into full-sized candy bags!
You can shrink the elf gummy bear bags yourself. To shrink mini gummy bear bags, you’ll need:
- An empty, clean gummy bear or wine gum bag (e.g. Haribo, Trolli, etc.)
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Oven
- Prepare the bag:The mini gummy bear bag should be clean, dry, and free of any food residue.
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 130–150 °C (top and bottom heat).
- Place the bag:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the little bag on top.
(Attention: The bag must not curl up — you can lightly fix it in place with a small wire rack or baking frame.) - Watch carefully: After about 20–60 seconds, the bag will begin to contract and shrink. It becomes thicker, smaller, and a bit firmer — that’s exactly what you want! Stay close by — the whole process usually takes less than two minutes, and if you wait too long, the plastic may melt or warp too much.
- Let it cool: Carefully remove the mini bag from the oven using tweezers or a toothpick and let it cool on the parchment paper. After cooling, it will be hard and sturdy — perfect for mini elves!
