Today we’re baking a quick Halloween recipe: creepy Apple Crumble — and we’ll show you a particularly delicious Halloween drink for kids!
Just two more weeks until Halloween! Maybe you and your minis have already been invited to a Halloween party and are wondering what delicious treats you could bring for the Halloween table! My minis and I will show you two quick and super tasty spooky treats for the Halloween buffet: our creepy Apple Crumble and a delicious, healthy Halloween drink for children!
Our spooky Halloween drink for minis
We created our Halloween drink from two delicious ingredients: Organic Fruit Iced Tea Apple by TeeFee and fresh apples.
TeeFee – the healthy drink alternative for children
TeeFee’s Organic Fruit Iced Tea Apple is a healthy alternative to apple juice that contains no sugar at all! As you probably know, organic apple juice is usually made from direct juice and therefore contains a lot of fruit sugar. The Organic Fruit Iced Tea Apple, however, consists mainly of water and an organic fruit tea infusion, and gets its delicious sweetness from a concentrated organic stevia tea infusion.
The sustainable concept behind TeeFee products is evident not only from the high-quality raw materials, but also from the fact that the packaging is made from 100% recycled material, which — thanks to the deposit system — is returned to the cycle and reused.

Since we love baking and my minis are, of course, allowed to enjoy the results, I think it’s important to pay attention to a balanced, healthy diet. At our place, nothing is forbidden — not even sugar! So we also eat cake or pizza at home, and the minis are allowed to order an apple spritzer in a restaurant. Nothing is banned — it’s all about moderation!
So, for example, my minis and I usually drink water and unsweetened teas at home. And as seasoned tea drinkers, my minis rated the Organic Fruit Iced Tea Apple as “delicious”!

My minis were especially excited about our healthy Halloween drink idea::
We peeled a few apples, carved spooky faces into them with a knife, and placed them in a carafe. Then we filled it up with the Organic Fruit Iced Tea Apple!
And voilà! The spooky drink highlight for Halloween is ready! Super easy and quick — and SPOOKY!
And the best part: it’s absolutely healthy!

Recipe for our Creepy Apple Crumble
A crumble is a wonderful recipe! It’s not only child’s play to make, it tastes delicious in all variations! Since we harvested so many apples, we chose an apple crumble with wild berries. But a crumble also tastes amazing with plums, pears, berries, quinces…
The challenge in our Halloween recipe lies in the decoration. Carving the face into the apple should be done with at least adult supervision — or preferably by an adult entirely. As always: practice makes perfect! 😉 Maybe your minis can already manage it on their own!

Ingredients
(for a small baking dish, approx. 25 cm x 16 cm)
Crumble topping:
- 90 g butter
- 80 g sugar
- 160 g spelled flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Optional: 1 tsp baked-apple spice mix* by Just Spices
Filling
- 5 medium apples
- 100 g wild berries (frozen)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Baking accessories
Peeler, sharp kitchen knife, cutting board, small baking dish (ours is about 25 cm x 16 cm), mixing bowl, kitchen scale, tablespoon
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat).
- Peel all apples. Quarter, core, and dice 4 of them, then place them in the baking dish. Drizzle the apple cubes with lemon juice. Halve and core the remaining apple. Then carve a spooky face into the rounded outer side with a sharp knife and set aside.
- Spread the wild berries over the apple cubes.
- Place all the crumble ingredients in a mixing bowl, knead into a cohesive dough, and crumble over the apple-berry mixture.
- Finally, place the carved apple halves on top of the crumble as creepy decorations.
- Bake the apple crumble at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 20 minutes and serve warm.
Mini-Tip The apple crumble also tastes amazing with vanilla sauce or vanilla ice cream!
