Quick recipe: Mini hot dogs in 30 minutes

Craving mini hot dogs? Today we'll show you and your minis how you can prepare delicious snacks for your next children's birthday party or a cozy dinner at home or on the go in 30 minutes.

Pasta, fries, pizza,... all delicious classics for dinner on your kids' birthday party. We are also practicing “pasta chefs” and big fans of the delicious pizza rolls! (Especially since this is also a QUICK RECIPE!)

Today we also have a classic! …but interpreted a little differently! We bake mini hot dogs for children's birthday parties! Typically, the classic hot dog consists of a sausage in a bun with pickles, fried onions, ketchup and mustard. Today we are baking the mini sausages, cucumbers and sauces into delicious pizza dough! Really delicious! A new classic for children's birthday dinner is born! 😉

Quick recipe for our mini hot dogs

You can bake the mini hot dogs together with your children. The most important thing when making mini hot dogs is that the dough is wrapped tightly around the ingredients and pressed well. So that sauces and cheese don't run out of the pastry when baking. Depending on how old your child is, they may need your support.

Ingredients for 24 mini hot dogs

  • 1 roll of pizza dough from the refrigerated counter
  • 2-3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2-3 tbsp mustard
  • 1 small jar of pickled cucumber slices
  • 24 mini sausages
  • grated cheese

Baking accessories

Kitchen knife, baking tray, baking paper

Preparation

  • Before you start with the ingredients, heat the oven to 200°C O/U.
  • Now you roll up the pizza dough for the mini hot dogs.
  • You cut the dough into 24 equal squares (see picture)
  • Place a dab of tomato paste and a dab of mustard in the middle of each square of dough. (If your kids find mustard too spicy, just leave it out.)
  • Place a pickled cucumber slice and a mini sausage on the tomato paste.
  • Then sprinkle some grated cheese on top of the ingredients.
  • Finally, roll all the ingredients into the dough square so that the sausage and the remaining ingredients are completely covered in the dough. Gently press the dough together so that the cheese does not come out of the dough while baking.
  • Now place the mini hot dogs on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake them according to the instructions on the pizza dough packaging (approx. 15-20 minutes at 200°C fan oven).
  • When your mini hot dogs are baked until golden brown, they are ready to eat!
