We are in the middle of the wonderful Christmas season - baking Christmas cookies, reading Christmas stories, looking forward to our elf Alva every morning and baking and making Christmas presents for our loved ones.
Today we're going to show you six quick last-minute Christmas gifts from the kitchen or should I say "Christmas gifts from the jar". We share with you delicious and easy gifts from the kitchen that you can give away wonderfully in recycled jars! Your recycled glasses look particularly pretty when you decorate them with our Christmas banderoles and gift tags .
Mug Cake Mix
One of our most popular Christmas gifts from the kitchen is the chocolate mug cake mix! The gift for quick cake cravings! Not only is it super easy to make, but the different layers make it look really pretty!

Ingredients for a chocolate mug cake mix
for 1 mason jar of 220 ml each
- 6 tbsp flour
- 3 tbsp baking cocoa
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon speculaas seasoning*
- 1 tbsp grated chocolate
- 1 tsp Salted Caramel Chunks*
- 1 mason jar of 220 ml
Preparation
To make this Christmas present from the kitchen look particularly beautiful, the ingredients can be layered in the glass. So that the layers don't mix and "straighten up", gently tap the glass against the kitchen table 2-3 times after each layer.
We layered as follows:
- Spelled flour, baking powder & salt
- Baking cocoa & speculoos spice
- Sugar & vanilla sugar
- Raspelschokolade
- Salted Caramel Chunks
The glass should be filled to the brim so that the ingredients cannot mix and the layered look remains.
On the label or in the card sent to the recipient, you should note how the mug cake mix is prepared:
- Pour the mug cake mix into a porcelain cup
- Add 2 tablespoons milk & 3 tablespoons sunflower oil
- Mix with a fork to form a smooth dough
- Bake for 2.5 minutes at 600 watts in the microwave or 15-20 minutes at 180°C top/bottom heat in the oven
