The super easy recipe for quick Parmesan herb crackers is not only a savory alternative for a delicious Easter gift but also perfect for your little ones' snack box.
With just two weeks until Easter, my little ones and I are starting to think about what special treats we can prepare for our loved ones. As always, we love baking delicious homemade goodies for the holidays, along with small Easter gifts like our homemade Easter granola or festively decorated Easter chocolates . (You can find different wrappers for various chocolate varieties in our shop.)

You might think that at Backen mit Minis, we only bake cakes, muffins, and other sweet treats—but that’s not the case! 🙂 I also try to introduce my little ones to a balanced diet, where sweets like cake or cookies are just an occasional treat, and healthy ingredients take center stage. That’s why we also enjoy sugar-free snacks, and today, I’m excited to share a delicious recipe for one of our favorites: savory Parmesan herb crackers! We love them well-seasoned with fresh garden herbs and sea salt. For toddlers, I recommend reducing the salt or leaving it out entirely.

Preparation
- First, place all the ingredients for the herb mix into a food processor and chop finely. If you don’t have a food processor, finely chop the rosemary needles, thyme leaves, and garlic clove with a knife, then mix them with the Parmesan.
- Next, add all the cracker dough ingredients along with the herb mix into a mixing bowl and knead everything into a smooth dough.
- Wrap the Parmesan herb cracker dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for about an hour.
- After an hour, remove the dough from the fridge and knead it briefly again.
- Now, preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat).
- Roll out the cracker dough with a rolling pin, then use cookie cutters to cut out delicious crackers and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. (Mini-Tip: If you don’t have cookie cutters, you can simply cut the dough into small rectangles or diamonds—instant homemade crackers!)
- Bake the Parmesan herb crackers on the middle rack for 11-13 minutes, until golden brown.
- After baking, let the crackers cool on a wire rack—and enjoy your delicious homemade crackers!
