Chocolate Love Message” – Gifts for Valentine’s Day with Ritter Sport Minis (incl. Printable Template)

With our downloadable printable Valentine’s Day wrappers, you can create sweet, homemade Valentine’s gifts with a personal touch and heartfelt message.

Whether it’s Valentine’s Day or not, showing your loved ones how much they mean to you is always a wonderful idea! Some express their love with flowers, others with romantic letters, and some simply by spending time together. How you celebrate Valentine’s Day — or whether you do at all — is completely up to you and your favorite person.

In the U.S., Valentine’s Day is celebrated in a big way. What I especially love about the American version of Valentine’s Day is that it’s not just romantic partners who exchange gifts — people also give small tokens of appreciation to everyone who matters to them. My little ones (“the minis”) and I think that’s absolutely lovely! So, of course, we got creative and came up with our own sweet idea: chocolatey Valentine’s gifts!

Our “Chocolate Love Message” wrappers are a sweet love note to all the special people in your life — parents, siblings, friends, and of course, romantic partners. Each wrapper shares a kind message… and a bit of chocolate love! A truly special gift — perfect for Valentine’s Day or any day you want to say “I love you.”

With these Valentine’s chocolate wrappers, you can:

  • Write personal love notes or sweet messages.
  • Include small coupons or vouchers inside (e.g., “Ice cream date,” “One massage,” “Dinner of your choice,” “Car windshield scraping service,” etc.).
  • Create a mini treasure hunt leading to your Valentine’s surprise.
  • Hide clues for a date (like a secret destination) inside the wrappers.

…And by the way, they’re easy to send by mail, too! 😉

You’ll only need a few materials to craft these adorable love chocolates. Our printables are designed so that you can start crafting right after printing the pretty wrappers (you can find the “Chocolate Love Message” printable template for Valentine’s Day chocolates here). At the same time, my kids and I try to inspire your creativity and that of your children. Therefore, you can also edit our templates with your kids creatively, for example, using colored pencils or watercolors, e.g., priming them. You can also simply print them on pastel-colored paper, for example. As always, let your creativity run wild!

Materials you’ll need:

Craft instructions

  • Print the “Chocolate Love Message” template at home or at a copy shop.
  • If you and your kids want to be creative with the printout of the banderoles, I recommend painting the banderoles before cutting them out.
  • Cut along the dashed lines. If you leave a bit of the dashed border, that’s perfectly fine — it gives the wrappers a cute stitched look. Write your personal messages in the designated spaces.
  • Wrap each banderole around the center of a Ritter Sport Mini so that your message is hidden inside.
  • Glue the top edge to close — make sure no glue touches your message. And just like that, your homemade chocolate love notes are ready!

My minis and I wish you and your little ones lots of fun making these chocolate love messages — and a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

As always, we’d love to see your creations! Share your “Chocolate Love Message” gifts with us on Instagram @backenmitminis
