It's finally that time again: Strawberry season has begun! It's the perfect time to share our favorite strawberry cake recipes with you!

April was already beautifully sunny, so by the beginning of May we were able to spend the morning in the strawberry field, picking the delicious, sweet fruits for our favorite strawberry recipes. The first trip of the year to the strawberry field is always a highlight for the whole family! Equipped with bowls and buckets, and eagerly anticipating strawberry cake, homemade strawberry ice cream, strawberry tiramisu, and much more, we set off. This year, we did not get disappointed and spent our Saturday morning in "strawberry heaven" – and of cause a few strawberries ended up in our bellies instead of in the bucket!

Of course, we don't just snack on strawberries; we also use them in many summer recipes. Today, we're sharing our favorite strawberry cake recipes with you:

The popular classic: strawberry cake with sponge base

The absolute classic that probably everyone knows and loves is strawberry cake with a fluffy sponge base. My grandma used to bake it for us, and my mom also likes to serve it during strawberry season! Of course, my little ones and I also love baking this quick and delicious strawberry cake together. The fluffy sponge base and fresh strawberries are simply heavenly together.

In these summer temperatures, not everyone is in the mood for cake – unless it's cooling and refreshing like this strawberry tart. They taste wonderfully moist and are perfect for a snack at the playground or on the go. A fruity treat!
