Preparation

  • If you make the chocolate eyes for the Halloween cake yourself, you should start with this. Melt the white chocolate in a water bath, put the liquid chocolate in a disposable piping bag and make white circles of different sizes on the baking paper. Then melt the dark chocolate in a water bath, put it in a disposable piping bag and paint small pupils on the white chocolate circles. Now just let it dry and you'll have lots of different chocolate eyes.
  • Preheat the oven to 175°C top/bottom heat (fan oven 160°C).
  • Grease the springform pan or cover the bottom with baking paper.
  • For the dough, mix butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time and stir in.
  • Add cream cheese and stir.
  • Add flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt and mix briefly to form a smooth dough.
  • Pour the dough into the springform pan and bake for 45 minutes. Please do the cooking test with the chopstick sample.
  • After the chocolate cake is baked, take it out of the mold and let it cool on the cooling rack.
  • Spread the cooled chocolate cake with the melted icing and decorate with chocolate eyes and sugar sprinkles as desired

...and tataaaa... your chocolate cake becomes a “Nosy Halloween cake”!
